The Metrodome
Tour this multipurpose stadium which was originally home to
the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings and a college team as well.
It’s the third domed facility in the US and was built in 1982.
Today it remains the only air-supported structure. The Vikings
continue to make The Metrodome their home field but the Twins
moved to Target Field an open-air stadium built specifically for
them in 2010. |

Adventure
How about driving a former military tank? This incredible adventure
takes place in Kasota, MN about an hour and a half from the Minneapolis/St
Paul airport. Advance arrangements are required to drive one of
their tanks and while you’re at it, how about crushing a car too! |

Riverboat Cruise
The Minneapolis Queen Riverboat departs from Boom Island Park
in the historic riverfront district of downtown Minneapolis. Built
in 2004 this is a fun way to see the city from the river. Public
and private cruises on the Mississippi are offered. |

Bike Friendly Minneapolis
Minneapolis has been named “Top Bike Friendly City in the US”
by Biking Magazine. There are urban trails and those that will
take you along the river and outside the city. A bike share program
is in place that encourages this eco/green way of travel for short
distances. Busses carry bike racks. Go for a spin! |

Fulton Brewing Company
Located not far from Target Field, sign up for one of their factory
tours. Only 20 people can be accommodated on tours offered at
1, 2 or 3 o’clock on Saturday afternoons. Come see “ordinary guys
brewing extraordinary beer.” Their tap room has additional hours
on Thursday – Sunday and during Twins games. Check their website
for hours. |
